Alpha Engineering Services, Inc.
was founded in 1991 by Gary M. Hartsog, a licensed professional
mining engineer with over 25 years of experience in mining engineering
and operations. The company is based in Beckley, West Virginia.
Alpha Engineering is registered as a independent contractor with the Mine Safety and Health Administration and the WV Dept. of Miner's Health, Safety, and Training. We are also a member of the WV Coal Association, National Mining Association and the Society of Mining Engineers (AIME-SME).
Our office is fully computerized with capabilities in
AutoCADD, Carlson Mining Package(SurvCADD), Microsoft Office, VentSim,
Freelance, ICAMPS, and other software that provides a full range of engineering
and presentation capabilities. Surveying and layout work is done with
electronic distance meter total stations and Global Positioning Systems
(GPS). We also have a full range of ventilation instrumentation for use
in mine and industrial ventilation situations.
We currently have on staff five Professional Engineers
and five Professional Surveyors with a combine total of over 150 year's
experience. Backed by technical support and administration personnel we
are ready to provide our clients with practical and innovative solutions
to your engineering needs.
